A Guide to Writing Effective Personal Statements
Remember that your personal statement is the THIRD most important part of your application after LSAT score and GPA. This provides a brief introduction to brainstorming, writing, and editing the law school personal statement.
29 Personal Statements That Made The Difference
This is a compilation of more than 2 dozen highly successful personal statements. In each case, the applicant got into far better schools than his or her score alone would have indicated. These certainly are not the only ways to approach a personal statement, but they can certainly help provide a model for your own thinking as you begin to prepare this extremely important document.

List of Available Application Waivers
A guide to every available fee waiver at every law school in the United States. This is last year's list. This year's list will be updated throughout the fall, although you should find the information still pertinent in most cases.

The Candidate Referral Service offers FREE APPLICATIONS to registrants, in exchange for sharing your information with law schools. After you log into your LSAC account (you have to register and log in first), you should be able to check your current status with CRS. For instance, the University of Texas School of Law offered all Texas residents registered with CRS a free application last year, and many other schools offer similar free applications to registrants. Keep in mind: applying to 10 schools could easily cost $750 in application fees alone (and another $280 in score reports). Applying to more schools increases your chances of getting into a GREAT school and receiving a GREAT scholarship offer.
